Prospector's Paradise
| Just a portion of the vast collection on display at Prospector's Paradise. The cavernous space has three levels. |
Alex and Darlene Fagotti have spent the last couple decades building this multi-tiered emporium of rocks and minerals collected not just from the Keweenaw but all over (the Southwest is also a big source). There is also jewelry, decorative items of polished stone, fossils of prehistoric animals, some of them entire heads of dinosaurs. Prices are reasonable. It's fun just to browse through all the stuff here.
| The many bins of rocks and minerals in front offer visitors inexpensive gifts and souvenirs of the area. |
