Powderhorn Falls
Wayne Premo

This delightfull spot where Powderhorn Creek makes two plunges in a deep gorge is a great treat in the summer when wildflowers are abundant. The final drop of 25 or so feet ends at a peaceful pool that some swim in.

About 1 1/2 miles west of Bessemer on U.S. 2 take County Road 511 (also called Powder Horn Road) north 2 miles and park just before the road veers left to the west. Park and walk back down along the road until you see the path heading east down to the falls.
