Customers in First Edition
Stops at favorite shops are regular rituals for many U.P. vacationers. This family heads for the regional section of First Edition books next to bookseller Mary Carney’s house north of Brevort.
From her country home north of Brevort, Mary Carney runs an interesting used and antiquarian bookshop and the Black Letter Press. First Edition's main specialty is Michigan and Great Lakes history. Lots of good general reading is on hand, plus assorted printed ephemera, maps, and some unusual T shirts and sweatshirts. Black Letter Press reprints out-of-print books on Upper Peninsula history, and some Michigan railroad material, too.
