Dogs on beach
The Upper Peninsula is a dog-friendly place in general, with many campgrounds, trails, and dog-friendly motels. These dogs are enjoying a U.S. 2 driving break walking along the Lake Michigan beach by the sand dunes near Brevort.

Low dunes separate the sandy beach from a shady, mature forest on the stabilized back dunes, all part of the Hiawatha National Forest. The picnic area and restrooms are on the drive to the popular rustic campground.
