Swedetown Ski Trails

Many serious skiers consider Swedetown the premier cross-country trails in the U.P. The attractions include:
♦ Over 30 km of trails in beautiful hilly setting of mature conifers
♦ Long season: early December into April
♦ Lots of snow—over 250 inches most years
♦ Well-groomed trails, 5 km lit until 10 p.m.
♦ Exceptional variety of beginner to expert trails that segue nicely from one to the other
♦ Another 7 km of snowshoeing trails
♦ Groomed sledding hill
♦ Chalet with snack bar

Drive north on US 41 from Houghton-Hancock. Just before Calumet, shortly after the Holiday station on the left as US 41 curves left and then right, turn left on Agent Street at the Swedetown sign. Drive down that road one-half mile to the Swedetown Chalet. For more information or help to accommodate larger groups, call (906) 337-1170. $8 a day for individual passes. Family passes available.
