Chassell Centennial Park

-
Not obviously visible from the highway, this well-equipped park offers a swimming beach and peaceful view across the Keweenaw Waterway. There's a chutes-and-ladders playground, a boat launch, full-size volleyball and basketball courts, picnic tables and grills and a gazebo, and a big pavilion that's used as an ice rink in winter. Don't expect much shade; it's an open place.

Off U.S. 41 at the north end of Chassell, just south of the Chippewa Motel, at the foot of Third Street
