Keweenaw Berry Farm Minigolf, Ice Cream & Animal Farm

-
At this idyllic place, asphalt walks wind through the landscaped area behind the keweenaw berry farm restaurant and bakery . That's where the animals are: the ostrich-like emu, llamas, fallow deer, pygmy goats, rabbits, pheasants, and minature donkeys and horses. The little outbuildings have a Hansel and Gretel look. Co-owner Alvin Theaut dreamed of getting away from urban life (he went into his family's concrete business, instead of being able to study architecture), and this is the result. He designed and built everything. There's no charge for anything except the minigolf ($2). Jilbert's ice cream cones are served up at the restaurant.
