Paint River Boardwalk
|
| One of the beauties of small towns like Crystal Falls is that they are compact enough for kids to explore by bike, with natural areas close at hand. The boardwalk leads to trails on the extensive Paint River Hills Campground property with other favorite childhood spots still open to the general public. |
The city of Crystal Falls has created a new Paint River Boardwalk. It affords easy access to the river, right in town.
|
| The city of Crystal Falls has created a park and picnic area by the new dock and boardwalk — all easily accessible by bikes, strollers, and wheelchairs. |
The project was made possible with grant money and contributed labor from a work crew from the nearby prison camp, along with a donation from the local Rotary.
The walkway is on the east bank of the Paint River. Find the walkway by turning north immediately after going down Superior Street and over the bridge.
