Bailey Roadside Park

-
This is much more than the Michigan Department of Transportation's typical roadside park. There's a beautiful sandy beach; a shady, grassy picnic area with lots of pleasant picnic tables and grills; plus vault toilets and a water pump. The beach is beyond some birches and cedars and over some low dunes. The view is accented by occasional offshore rocks and, blinking in the distance when it's dark, the square Martin Reef Light seven miles to the southwest. It warns boaters away from shallow water.
-
18 miles east of Cedarville and 10 miles west of DeTour, adjacent to DeTour State Forest. 1 mile east of M-148. Handicap accessible.
