Gateway Golf Club

-
Punctuated by giant Norway pines on fairly flat terrain, this 1940s-era 9-hole golf course starts with the first four holes in Wisconsin and finishes with five holes in Michigan. The slope rating is 123 (113 is average), and the hardest hole is the 559-yard number two (par 5). There's a small bar and restaurant on the premises.
-
From Michigan, take Highway 45 south. Just after you pass the Wisconsin line, turn right onto Highway B. The golf course is just before you reach Land O'Lakes. (715) 547-3929. Call for seasonal rates.
