Wood'N Spoon
Owner Bruce Beaudoin bakes bread and cookies and sells berry jams made in part from berries he grows: strawberries, currants, gooseberries, raspberries, and more, some available in low-sugar versions. Thimbleberry jam is far and away the biggest seller. Breads include limpa and wheat bread (his best seller), and more usual varieties. Honey, syrup, woodenware, and beeswax candles are locally made. —8/2010On U.S. 41 at the south end of Mohawk, east side of road. (906) 337-2435. (877) 887-8071. Open from Mem.
