Passage Island Lighthouse

Passage Island Lighthouse, several miles off the island's east tip, is a one-of-a-kind lighthouse because its façade is made of red Jacobsville sandstone. A park interpreter comes along on the M.V. Sandy's Monday and Friday afternoon trips from 1:30 to 6 and talks about the lighthouse, shipwrecks, and the island's unusual geology. The lighthouse interior is not open to the public. Cost: $38/person, $19 ages 12 and under. Tours are first-come, first-served and weather dependent.
