Hiawatha National Forest/St. Ignace Info Center and administrative unit

-
Hiawatha info center
Outside the Hiawatha National Forest’s St. Ignace information center, a native plants gardeis viewable even when the officen is closed. The center has lots of printed information, detailed Hiawatha maps, and personalized advice.
Stop in at this beautiful building or call for lots of free handouts and helpful advice, not just on campgrounds, fishing, and hunting but on good berry-picking spots, wilderness areas, and many outdoor recreation opportunities. Handouts cover the entire national forest, not just this area. Picnic tables are by the beautiful entrance garden of native plants with interesting interpretive signs. The plaza's concrete pavement has animal footprints in it - a fun introduction to tracking skills.
