Souvenir Barn

-
This free bridge-viewing siteis a platform perched on the roof ridge of an old-timey souvenir shop, focused on souvenir Ts, sweats, and Up North accessories. The simple deck is really pretty neat. (It can be quite breezy, so come prepared.) To the south, you can look across the golf course to an excellent, unobstructed view of the Mackinac Bridge and the Straits, all the way west to Waugoshance Point and Wilderness State Park.

The Souvenir Barn is a very good place to watch any passing freighters. The telescope magnifies details. The most dramatic time to come is at or near sunset.
